How is "fixed debenture" not a contradiction of terms?
I recently came across the idea of a "fixed" and "floating" debenture. I was under the impression a debenture was specifically an issue not secured by assets. Wouldn't a debenture secured by assets (whether fixed or floating) not be a debenture at all?
