Where can I find the total number of people living with or beyond cancer for the UK and globally, as up to date as possible (
I'm trying to work out the total prevalence of cancer (all types) in the UK and globally, defined as someone who is alive and has had a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives. I'm really struggling to find this information: there are lots of examples of incidence (e.g. cancer research), but few for prevalence. Does anyone know of any source I can use for cancer prevalence statistics?
There is a difficulty calcuating prevalence from historical incidence, since we do not know which patients died in the intervening period.
