Why does my cat immediately use the litter box when I'm in the same room?
So our litter box is in a corner in the living room in our apartment. Aside from obsessively weird behaviours (scratching and burying for 10+ minutes after using the litter box, or pawing at the water while she drinks it), she also immediately uses the litter box almost every time I walk into the living room. Like I will stand in the kitchen, see her, walk to the living room, and she comes running in and immediately uses the litter box. I do have another cat, and there are 2 litter boxes, and there have never been fights about use. She was a rescue cat, but I don't know what could have triggered those kinds of behaviours.
