How can I link drugs to diagnoses (ICD-10)?
I would like to be able to find a list of drugs (identified by NDC or RXNORM, SNOMED, MESH), which can treat a given diagnosis (ICD-9/10) and vice-versa - given a drug, obtain all diagnoses that can be potentially treated by the drug's ingredients.

I have a UMLS subscription and successfully mapped NDC codes (from medical claims) to RXNORM, MESH and SNOMED concepts, as well as ATC classes. However, I am struggling with mapping drugs or their ingredients to ICD-10 diagnosis codes, as I couldn't find relationships between SNOMED CT (Substance) and SNOMED CT (Disease). The only workaround that I came up with using UMLS and open-source resources was RXNORM (ingredients) -> MESH (Disease) (using the RXNREL file from RXNORM) and then MESH (Disease) -> ICD-10 CM via Disease Ontology disease-ontology.org. Is there another reliable and less cumbersome way to produce such a mapping, without using products such as Medi-Span?
