What is the essential difference between injection lipolisis and liposuction by mean of adipose cells outcome?
I am having the problem of not understanding the essential difference between injection lipolisis and liposuction by mean of adipose cells outcome.
Injection lipolysis
I understand that injection lipolysis is a controversial method by which a solution containing a detergent is injected to a defined adipose tissue to destroy at least the fat inside the adipose cells of that tissue, if not the adipose cells themselves;
If I'm not wrong; a injection lipolysis operation should be done either by a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist.
In occasions of reading about it in my past, mainly in the websites of plastic surgeons, it was described in Hebrew as "fat melting" (???? ????) but in any reading experience, it was never explicitly said in any description if this method causes destruction of fat proper, or, of adipose cells;
Well, if it's only destruction of fat proper and not of adipose cells themselves, than I guess that by genetic control and/or epigenetic cell behavior, its only a matter of time until adipose cells would be filled with fat anew, so the method is principally ineffective.
Liposuction
I understand Liposuction as a generally safe method in which a plastic surgeon is numbing an area, fills it with saline that makes adipose cells more easily removable by the (lipo)suction, and than pumps them out with a liposuction device which is generally electromechanic;
The adipose cells are removed together with blood and other bodily fluids and likely some other cells (such as nerve cells) and may cause permanent sensation changes in the liposucted area.
My question
What is the essential difference between injection lipolisis and liposuction by mean of adipose cells outcome?
Especially, does injection lipolysis removes adipose cells or just fat from adipose tissues?
