Is it harmful for me to have my cellphone near my body?

I have read reputable sources such as Mayo Clinic but there are no clear answers. I usually have my phone in one of my leg pockets these days for convenience and also to keep them safe. There are really expensive shielding products that claim to protect people from the harms of their cell phones but I just do not know what is true and what is not.

Please help me.
