Advice for singing
I feel like I generally am on pitch but still don't like my tone a lot. My goal is to be able to sing pop music at a really high level and I don't know how to make my tone more pop sounding, or just better in general. I have a link below so that you can hear my singing. Feel free to listen to it and give me honest advice. I appreciate any advice no matter how brief! [1]: drive.google.com/file/d/1UaJpWWdkawBP-KQ4pI7T6epLPy9No0d2/view?usp=drivesdk

You don't sound like you are singing at all. You are in tune and that is a good start but there is really no air coming through. Or in professional singing jargon you have no support. It doesn't sound like the notes are supported by steady flow from your diaphragm. This is a technical issue and I'd recommend taking singing lessons from a professional vocal coach at least for a while to learn how to do it right. This will help you in many ways, (1) develop good tone, (2) expand your range, (3) prevent strain on your vocal chords (and possible injury) from not understanding where support comes from, (4) preventing fatigue. As for being in tune can you sing that melody a capella? Many of us rely on the guitar or other instrument to keep us in tune. If that is the case lessons will also help you actually sing in tune without the need for an instrument.

I agree with ggcg above - firstly, focus on breathing. Simply take deep, relaxed breaths and let the air flow from the diaphragm unimpeded. Then, start singing full, rich tones in the core of your range (no high or low, right in the most comfortable spot), and keep everything (from your abdomen to your throat and jaw) completely relaxed. Then slowly start to expand your range upwards one or two notes at a time.
