Connecting an Alexa Echo Dot to JBL LSR305 without an interface?
Pretty new to all this. I got some JBL LSR305's from a friend that Im trying to connect to an Echo Dot (3.5mm Audio output).
Notes:
The 2 Studio Monitors have a Balanced XLR and TRS 1/4 Inch each.
The output of the Echo Dot or Macbook 3.5mm (unbalanced im assuming?).
I found some options i think will work:
Option A
2 x 1/8 to 1/4 TRS Stereo Cable and 3.5mm Audio Y Splitter Stereo (3.5mm to 2 x 3.5mm)

Option B
1 x 3.5mm TRS to Dual 6.35mm TS Y Splitter Breakout Cord, 1/8 inch Male Stereo to Dual 1/4 Mono Male www.amazon.ca/Devinal-6-35mm-Splitter-Breakout-Stereo/dp/B07QBF6X2K/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=1%2F8+to+1%2F4+cable&qid=1606616014&sr=8-14 The difference is the end going into the Monitors is TS vs TRS. Not sure what would be best.
Thank you in Advance!
