Amount of money taken into account when applying for an overdraft?
Will a bank in England, Halifax to be specific, look at the amount of money I have in my current account if I apply for an overdraft.

I don't think in normal circumstances I would get approved, and do not want to apply for it to show on my credit report if i get turned down.

However, I currently have £10,000 in my current account I am looking after for a friend, will this increase my chances of being approved or not ?
