Do nutrients have the same functions for kids and adults? And are the symptoms of deficiency the same?
I’m writing my bachelorthesis about children’s nutrition.
Now I stumbled upon a question that I can’t answer myself and I wasn’t able to find it anywhere either.
Do nutrients (carbs, fat, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals) have the same functions in the body of an 6-10 year old child and an adult?
And are the deficiency symptoms also the same?
I can’t find any good sources that are about that age. Most of the books I found don’t even mention any age.
